Know More About Spring O Ring
Q1: What is a "flat round ring carabiner" or "spring O-ring"?
A: It's a modern take on the classic carabiner. Instead of a D-shape, it has a circular (O-ring) profile that is flattened, making it more comfortable to hold and carry. The spring refers to the internal push-button gate mechanism.
Q2: How does the spring gate work on this carabiner?
A: To open, you press the button on one side of the flat round ring, which compresses an internal spring and retracts the gate on the opposite side. Release the button, and the spring snaps the gate closed and locked.
Q3: Can I really engrave any text I want on it?
A: Yes. We specialize in custom engraving text. You provide the text (names, dates, slogans) or a simple vector file, and we use a precision laser to etch it permanently onto the gunmetal surface.
Q4: Is the gunmetal finish durable or will it wear off?
A: Our gunmetal finish is a high-quality PVD coating or multi-layer electroplate known for exceptional hardness and adhesion. It is highly resistant to chipping and fading, making it ideal for EDC use.
Q5: What is the load capacity of this 26.5mm carabiner?
A: While designed as a functional EDC item, this gunmetal carabiner is tested to hold a safe working load of approximately 20 kg (44 lbs), making it strong enough for daily tasks and gear.
Q6: Do you offer this O-ring carabiner in other finishes?
A: Yes. While gunmetal is standard, we also produce it in polished silver, black, antique brass, and rose gold finishes. The flat round ring design is consistent across all finishes.
